The Syrian Bride (2004) follows Mona, a young woman whose wedding day is marked by profound sadness. She is acutely aware that her journey across the border from Israel to Syria to marry her fiancé will result in her permanent separation from her cherished family in the Golan Heights, a region under Israeli occupation since 1967. As the day unfolds, the family, government officials, military personnel, and all those present on both sides of the border are left in a state of uncertainty, stranded in the limbo of No-Man’s land between Israel and Syria.
