Encounter of the Spooky Kind (1980) follows the story of Cheung, a naive country dweller who inadvertently enters a world of supernatural terror. After his friends play a prank that backfires, a zombie is summoned, setting off a chain of eerie events. Cheung's unfaithful wife, along with her paramour, sees an opportunity to eliminate Cheung by tricking him into spending consecutive nights in a haunted graveyard. There, he must confront a formidable zombie and the chilling consequences of his friends' ill-fated joke.
