The Romance of Tiger and Rose (TV Series) (2020) follows Chen Xiao Qian, a dedicated but unknown screenwriter who has always been single, as she completes a grand drama centered around a heroic female character. Just as the filming is set to begin, the project is halted due to numerous questions raised by actor Han Ming Xing about the script. In a twist of fate, Chen Xiao Qian finds herself transported into her own script, taking on the role of the third princess of Huayan city, a matriarchal society. The third princess, in her previous life, was resolute in her desire to marry Han Shuo, the crown prince of a rival city, despite being betrothed to Pei Heng, the minister of education. As the minor character of the third princess, Chen Xiao Qian must navigate this new world, revise the narrative to ensure her survival, and ultimately foster a relationship between prince Han Shuo and Pei Heng.
