Smell of the Dog's Fur (1982) follows the story of Paul, a sculptor who journeys to a Black Sea resort. There, he encounters Heidi, a German student studying Slavic languages, and they begin a passionate romance. They settle at a campsite, but Paul's casual approach to their relationship contrasts sharply with Heidi's deep emotional investment. Paul's life takes a dramatic turn when he stumbles upon an illegal drug operation. Seizing the opportunity for financial gain, he takes control of the contraband and demands a ransom of twenty thousand dollars from the gang. However, Heidi's sudden disappearance adds a layer of complexity and danger to Paul's newfound predicament.
