The Stripper (1963) follows the journey of Lila Green, a self-doubting and aging performer in Madame Olga's burlesque shows. When her partner, Rick, absconds with the show's funds, Madame Olga and Ronny dismiss Lila. Seeking refuge, Lila moves in with her former neighbors, Helen Bard and her adolescent son, Kenny. Determined to turn her life around, Lila pursues a conventional job and strives for a more ordinary existence. However, their lives take an unexpected turn as Lila and Kenny find themselves unable to resist their growing mutual attraction.
