Dishonour Bright (1936) follows the story of Stephen Champion, who is named as a co-respondent in a divorce proceeding but faces the court with a carefree demeanor. Throughout the trial, he develops a playful and flirtatious connection with Stella Crane, the spouse of one of the attorneys involved. Despite this, Stephen proceeds to marry his lover once her divorce is finalized. During their European honeymoon, Stephen steps in to help Stella when she finds herself in a precarious situation involving a deceitful man and his extortionist accomplice. However, it takes some effort to persuade both his own wife and Stella's husband that his actions have been entirely honorable.
