Part-Time Work (1980) presents a humorous take on the daily struggles of a substitute educator navigating an unstable existence. Over a decade, he resides temporarily with his married sibling in a compact, single-room dwelling, where his sister-in-law also temporarily stays. Despite holding a diploma, he lacks a permanent position, working as a schoolteacher on a short-term basis. Concurrently, a young boy living with his mother attends the same school and desires a father figure of his own choosing, not his mother's. The teacher aligns with the boy's ideal of a father, leading to an unexpected outcome.
