Up in Mabel's Room (1944) follows Gary Ainsworth, portrayed by Dennis O'Keefe, who is living a contented life as a newlywed. However, his past comes knocking when his former flame, Mabel, played by Gail Patrick, returns to town. Gary finds himself in a pickle as he must convince Mabel to return a risqué piece of lingerie he had given her during their past relationship before his current wife, played by Marjorie Reynolds, discovers it. This film marks the first in a series of silent movie remakes directed by Allan Dwan, with subsequent entries including "Getting Gertie's Garter.
