Monster (TV Series) (2004)

Monster (TV Series) (2004) follows the story of Dr. Kenzou Tenma, a highly skilled Japanese neurosurgeon practicing in Germany. Tenma's exceptional medical abilities have earned him the admiration of his colleagues, and he is engaged to be married with a bright future ahead. However, Tenma's principles clash with the hospital's politics, as he firmly believes in the equal value of all human lives. One fateful day, he chooses to operate on a critically injured young boy instead of a prominent politician, leading to a dramatic shift in his professional and personal life. His peers turn against him, and his fiancée ends their relationship. Years later, a series of murders occurs, and Tenma's former peers are found dead. His ex-fiancée seeks reconciliation, and he is promoted to head of the surgical department. Nine years later, the BKA (German Federal Criminal Police) is investigating a string of murders, and one agent suspects Tenma's involvement. Tenma begins his own investigation after one of his patients is murdered, uncovering a sinister connection to his past.
