Savages (2012) follows the story of Ben, a compassionate and philanthropic marijuana cultivator, and his companion Chon, a former Navy SEAL. Together, they operate a thriving, homegrown marijuana business, producing some of the finest cannabis ever created. Alongside their business, they share a unique and deep love with Ophelia. Their lives in Southern California are peaceful and prosperous until the Mexican Baja Cartel intervenes, insisting on a partnership. The ruthless leader of the cartel, Elena, and her enforcer, Lado, misjudge the unbreakable bond between the trio. Ben and Chon, with the hesitant help of a corrupt DEA agent, embark on a seemingly impossible war against the cartel. This sets off a chain of increasingly brutal tactics and strategies in a high-stakes, savage power struggle.
