Betty in Search of a Thrill (1915) follows the journey of Betty, a young woman who, upon leaving the convent to stay with her uncle's family, is intrigued by the worldly possessions they initially conceal from her. When Jim Denning proposes to her, Betty expresses her love but insists on experiencing the world first. Jim, upset, departs, leaving Betty by the fireplace, where the dancing flames spark her curiosity. She ventures out, encountering various experiences that bring both joy and sorrow. At a critical moment, just as she is about to collapse, Jim appears and catches her. Betty wakes up to realize it was all a dream, and Jim helps her understand the true value of home and the emptiness of the world's allure.
