Holiday in Handcuffs (TV) (2007) follows Gertrude 'Trudie' Chandler, an aspiring artist who faces a double blow on Christmas Eve when she loses her job as a waitress and her boyfriend Nick. Desperate to avoid feeling like the family's black sheep, Trudie decides to replace Nick with a more attractive suitor, David Martin. She takes drastic measures by abducting David at gunpoint and bringing him to a secluded, luxurious log cabin for the family holidays. Trudie's wild lies make it impossible for David to convince the Chandlers that he is not Nick or to escape. After managing to send a distress call to his pampered fiancée, David chooses to play the role of the perfect partner to make Trudie's deception even more complicated. Before the police arrive to rescue him, David and the family form a deep bond, revealing that everyone has their flaws. As a result, David and Trudie reevaluate their relationship after spending time together.
