The Casino Murder Case (1935) follows the story of Philo Vance, who is alerted to a potential threat against Lynn at a casino. Despite the District Attorney's skepticism, Philo takes the warning seriously. At the casino, owned by Uncle Kinkaid, Lynn is indeed poisoned while under Philo's watch. Lynn survives, but tragically, his wife Virginia does not, as she succumbs to the same poison at their family residence. With the realization that only a family member could have orchestrated the poisonings, Philo delves into the complex web of motives and secrets to uncover the culprit.
