The Next Voice You Hear... (1950) follows Joe Smith, an ordinary American residing in a Los Angeles suburb and employed at an aircraft factory. One evening, while tuning into a radio broadcast, Joe is startled by an unexpected voice interrupting the program: "This is God. I'll be with you for the next few days." Remarkably, this divine intervention is not limited to Joe; everyone around the globe who is listening to any radio station hears the same message. As more divine communications follow, the world is divided in its response, with some individuals embracing the messages with faith and others reacting with skepticism and doubt.
