Stephen King's Thinner (1996) follows the chilling tale of a corpulent attorney who inexplicably begins to lose weight at an alarming rate after being cursed by an elderly Romani man. Desperate to reverse the hex, the attorney turns to his criminal associates for assistance in convincing the gypsy to remove the curse. As the attorney's health rapidly deteriorates and he becomes increasingly emaciated, he races against time to find a solution before it's too late.
