El Caso Almería (The Almería File) (1984) centers around a tenacious Spanish judge who delves into the murder of three young individuals, falsely accused of being ETA terrorists, by the Guardia Civil. As he pursues the truth, the judge encounters numerous hurdles and even threats to his life for daring to probe the clandestine and perilous realm of the Spanish military during a period when Spain is emerging from four decades of authoritarian governance.
