Monsters, Inc. (2001) is set in a world where a power company, Monsters, Inc., employs monsters to collect screams from children to generate energy for their city, Monstropolis. The monsters believe children are dangerous due to their perceived toxicity. James P. Sullivan, affectionately known as Sulley, is a top scarer at the company, working alongside his best friend and roommate, Mike Wazowski. However, they face challenges as children become harder to scare. One fateful night, Sulley accidentally brings a young girl named Boo into the monster world. To protect their jobs and the safety of their city, Sulley and Mike must navigate the risks and return Boo to her world without revealing her presence to the authorities.
