Thunder Bay (1953) follows the journey of a former Navy engineer, Steve Martin, who arrives in a Louisiana town in 1946 with a vision to construct a secure platform for offshore oil drilling. After securing funding from a prominent oil company, Steve and his partner Johnny launch their venture, which also catches the attention of the charming daughters of shrimp-boat captain Rigaud. However, their ambitious project faces significant resistance from the local fishing community, spearheaded by Stella Rigaud. Additionally, they must contend with acts of sabotage, a looming hurricane, and a deceitful board of directors.
