Beerfest (2006) follows the journey of American siblings Todd and Jan Wolfhouse, portrayed by Erik Stolhanske and Paul Soter, who embark on a trip to Germany to honor their grandfather by scattering his ashes at Oktoberfest. Their adventure takes an unexpected turn when they discover a clandestine, centuries-old beer competition known as Beerfest, often referred to as the "secret Olympics of beer drinking." The brothers encounter hostility from their German cousins, the Von Wolfhausens, who belittle and expel them from the event. Determined to redeem their family's honor, Todd and Jan assemble a diverse team of beer enthusiasts, including Barry Badrinath (Jay Chandrasekhar), Phil Krundle (Kevin Heffernan), and Steve "Fink" Finklestein (Steve Lemme). This eclectic group undergoes rigorous training to enhance their drinking skills, aiming to outperform their rivals. However, they must first confront personal challenges and overcome the obstacles set by their German adversaries, who seek to dismantle the team before they can return to Munich.
