This is the poignant story of Marina Rangel, a courageous and determined young physical therapist struggling to support her family by working at a public hospital. There, she meets the handsome and rich Dr. Samuel Montalvan-and that is when her real troubles begin. Montalvan takes an instant dislike to Marina and finds an excuse to have her fired unjustly. Jobless and desperate, Marina is finally hired to work in a private home, caring for a woman who has recently become blind. It turns out, fortuitously, that her patient is none other than Dr. Samuel Montalvan's wife, the frustrated and conniving Andrea.
