Mistress America

A lonely college freshman's life is turned upside down by her impetuous, adventurous soon-to-be stepsister. Tracy (Lola Kirke) is an uncool, unassuming and seemingly unremarkable 18-year-old college freshman having trouble adjusting to life at Colombia University. Unpopular and alienated from most of her peers, an acute loneliness sets in as she tries to navigate the fast-pace of Manhattan life. At her mother's behest, on a chance whim she calls the nearly 30 year-old Brooke (Greta Gerwig), who is going to be her new sister, and is soon entranced by her worldliness and flummoxed by her impulsive nature.
