TV movie in two installments about the figure of the ill-fated Alfonso de Borbón, older cousin of King Juan Carlos I who married Franco's granddaughter, Carmen Martínez Bordiú. The Duke of Cadiz was a tragic character. He lost one of his sons in a car accident in Navarra and a few years later, in Colorado (United States) he died decapitated in a skiing accident. The film is about his family, his desire to reign in place of Juan Carlos I and his strong family feeling.
