The Dam (2022) unfolds in Sudan, close to the Merowe dam, where Maher is employed at a conventional brickyard sustained by the Nile's waters. Each night, Maher stealthily ventures into the desert to construct an enigmatic structure from mud. As the Sudanese people rally for their independence, Maher's creation begins to exhibit a life of its own.
