Tropic Thunder (2008) follows the journey of Tugg Speedman, a privileged action movie star portrayed by Ben Stiller, who is chosen for a massive, high-budget war film. The cast includes a diverse group of celebrities: Kirk Lazarus, a dedicated and award-winning actor played by Robert Downey Jr.; Jeff Portnoy, a comedian known for his raunchy comedy series "The Fatties," portrayed by Jack Black; Alpa Chino, a multi-platinum rapper turned entrepreneur and actor, played by Brandon T. Jackson; and Kevin Sandusky, a newcomer to the acting world, played by Jay Baruchel. As the filming begins in Southeast Asia, the actors find themselves in a genuine life-threatening scenario, compelling them to act as the combat unit they are portraying to navigate their way out of the jungle safely.
