The Boston Strangler (1968) is set in Boston, 1962, where a series of murders involving elderly women leaves the city in a state of fear. The unknown assailant, dubbed the Boston Strangler, eludes investigators despite an extensive probe. As the killer begins targeting younger women, the pressure to solve the case intensifies. John Bottomly, portrayed by Henry Fonda, is tasked with leading a more rigorous investigation, scrutinizing even the most distant suspects. However, the murders persist, and the city remains on edge. Dianne Cluny, played by Sally Kellerman, survives an attack but can only recall biting her assailant's hand. When Albert DeSalvo, portrayed by Tony Curtis, is apprehended for breaking into an apartment, his mental state is called into question. During his hospitalization, a significant clue—a bite mark on his hand—is discovered, potentially linking him to the crimes.
