Big City Blues (1932) follows the whirlwind 72-hour journey of Bud, a man from Indiana who suddenly comes into a substantial inheritance. Eager to experience the excitement of urban life, he ventures to New York City. Upon arrival, Bud is greeted by his cousin Gibbony, who introduces him to the alluring chorus girl Vida, with whom Bud quickly becomes smitten. However, Bud's newfound happiness is abruptly disrupted when a tragic incident occurs at a party in his hotel room. A young woman is fatally injured by an intoxicated guest, and Bud finds himself at the center of a murder investigation, labeled as the primary suspect.
