This political Bosnian documentary is aimed at Western audiences and creates another powerful picture of the war torn country. It was created by the Sarajevo Group of Authors and is actually three distinct films spliced together. The first "The Monster's Confession," observes the disturbing war crime confessions of a 21-year old Bosnian-Serb a few days before his execution. On camera he calmly reenacts the throat cuttings and the rapes he performed upon prisoners. He seems to feel no remorse, but does mention a recurring nightmare where he butchered a man like a pig. The second "Godot-Sarajevo" chronicles Susan Sontag's 1993 visit to stage "Waiting for Godot." The third and longest is "Personal Affairs" which follows the daily lives of Bosnians as they try to survive amongst the horrors.
