Since bursting onto the martial arts film scene in 1973, Jackie Chan has become one of the world's most popular stars. His movies -- which he acts in, performs his own stunts for and often directs -- have earned millions at the box office. In "Spiritual Kung Fu," he plays a student at the Shaolin temple who always clowns around but surprises his masters by proving to be their bravest and most skilled pupil. While his fellow students are too cowardly to guard the Temple's scripture hall because it's allegedly haunted by spirits, Jackie jumps at the chance to volunteer for the job. Inside the shrine, he soon meets the ghosts from the forbidden book, "The Five Style Fists." Although the martial arts technique described in the book has been called too hazardous for anyone to learn, Jackie quickly masters it. As a result, he's easily able to pass the difficult tests his teachers give him. But the student's toughest challenge comes when he must face a gang of villainous warriors. Will the fighting style the spirits have taught Jackie help him defeat the troublemakers?
