Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3) (1992) follows the adventures of Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell), who finds himself hurled back in time to medieval England. Here, he is destined to locate the Necronomicon, the Book of the Dead, and save the land from the malevolent Deadites, who are also in pursuit of the tome. Initially mistaken for a spy, Ash must first prove his intentions by battling two Deadites. Along the way, he forms a bond with a woman named Sheila (Embeth Davidtz). After discovering the book, Ash inadvertently unleashes the Army of the Dead, led by his malevolent doppelganger, Evil Ash. Armed with his 20th-century ingenuity and combat skills, Ash must now confront and defeat Evil Ash and his skeletal horde.
