Tyrone Power stars as a 13th-century English nobleman who is forced to leave England with his partner (Jack Hawkins) after leading a revolt against King Edward (Michael Reenie). As they travel through the Far East, they are picked up by a powerful warlord (Orson Welles) and brought to the court of Kublai Kahn where Power falls in love with a Eurasian beauty (Cecile Aubry). The Black Rose is filled with adventure as if follows their journey to freedom while capturing the beauty of England and North Africa.
