Anna & Anna (2007) unfolds the story of Anna (Karena Lam), a thriving professional in Singapore who abruptly leaves her apartment and boyfriend to return to Shanghai for a new job opportunity. Upon her arrival, she crosses paths with a twin (also portrayed by Karena Lam), whom she initially dismisses as a less stylish doppelganger. However, it is revealed that this other woman is indeed her twin, a result of a temporal split. One Anna stayed in Shanghai, married her boyfriend Ouyang (Li Yu), while the other ventured to Singapore, achieving independence, success, and a more fashionable lifestyle. The narrative explores the mystery of how one girl became two and the challenges they face now that they have a twin.
