Sunnyside (1919)

Sunnyside (1919) follows the life of Charlie, a dedicated farmhand who toils from the early hours of the morning until late at night. His meals are hastily prepared, often involving unconventional methods like milking a cow directly into his coffee or holding a chicken over a frying pan to cook eggs. Charlie harbors deep affection for Edna, the daughter of his neighbor, but faces disapproval from her father. In a comedic turn, Charlie rides a cow into a stream and is subsequently kicked off the farm. As he lies unconscious, he envisions a whimsical dance with nymphs. Meanwhile, a city dweller is injured in a car accident and is nursed back to health by Edna. Charlie, inspired by the city slicker, attempts to emulate his style but is met with rejection.
