Dead Run

Shuji is struggling to grow up in a small seaside town that is being redeveloped to become a major resort. He starts going to church with his cynical older brother and there he meets the orphan girl Eri, who is in his class at school. Shuji develops a crush on her and takes up running so that he can spend more time with her. However, when Eri is injured when a truck's cargo falls on her, her relatives whisk her away to Tokyo. Shuji is desperate to go after her, but his journey will not be an easy one as he encounters yakuza, prostitutes and a priest with a shady past.
