The famous composer Broch receives the assignment to compose a cantata on the occasion of the fiftieth birthday of Adolf Hitler. However, the SS officer Gottlieb knows that Broch is not a Nazi sympathizer and places his girlfriend Ursula as assistant in order to keep an eye on him. Ursula is herself a talented rookie composer who worships Hitler and his cause.
