In this movie, big mushroom heads and exaggerated sunglasses are used to increase the fun. The movie's actresses all said that this movie satisfied their addiction to acting in a comedy. The three female stars become completely different characters: Zhou Xun turns into a female "Monkey King", who plays 12 roles in the movie including a doctor, a patient, a reporter, and so on; Kwai Lun-mei transforms from an innocent girl to a "sassy girlfriend"; and Kitty Zhang, "Stephen Chow's leading lady", changes from the girl-next-door into a rich coquette.
