The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) begins with the introduction of Tuco (Eli Wallach), a notorious outlaw known as "The Ugly," who escapes through a window after eliminating his pursuers. Next, we meet Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef), a ruthless mercenary known as "The Bad," who murders a man to uncover the location of a substantial gold fortune and then eliminates his employer. Lastly, we are introduced to "The Good," a mysterious gunslinger played by Clint Eastwood, known as 'Blondie.' Blondie captures Tuco and hands him over to the authorities for a reward, but then rescues him by shooting the rope from around his neck, splitting the reward money with him. This unusual partnership continues until Blondie decides to abandon Tuco in the desert, 70 miles from the nearest town, believing there is no future in their arrangement.
