Cold Sweat (1970) follows the story of Joe Martin, an unassuming American residing in the South of France, where he runs a boat rental business for tourists. He enjoys a peaceful life with his wife, Fabienne, and their 12-year-old daughter, Michèle. However, Joe's tranquil existence is disrupted when his past catches up with him. A decade earlier, Joe, then known as Moran, had escaped from prison with four other convicts, including the ruthless ex-mercenary Katanga. After witnessing Katanga's brutal murder of a military policeman, Joe had fled alone, leaving his accomplices behind. One fateful night, Captain Ross, Katanga, Whitey, and Fausto resurface, threatening to shatter Joe's new life and forcing him to confront the dark secrets of his past.
