Revolutionary Road (2008) centers on a discontented couple, Frank and April Wheeler, residing in the picturesque Connecticut suburbs. Initially, they envisioned themselves as extraordinary individuals, committed to living by elevated principles. Upon settling into their new home on Revolutionary Road, they proudly assert their independence from the monotonous suburban lifestyle and vow to avoid the societal constraints of their time. However, despite their initial charm, beauty, and nonconformity, the Wheelers gradually become what they never anticipated: a man with a mundane job and a woman yearning for fulfillment, trapped in a seemingly ordinary American family with unfulfilled dreams. Desperate to alter their destinies, April devises a daring scheme to start anew, leaving behind the comforts of Connecticut for the uncertainties of Paris. As the plan unfolds, each spouse is driven to extremes—one determined to escape at any cost, the other resolute in preserving their current life, regardless of the sacrifices.
