It's Complicated (2009) is a romantic comedy that revolves around a woman named Jane (Meryl Streep), who is a successful bakery/restaurant owner in Santa Barbara and a mother of three grown children. After a decade of divorce, Jane maintains a friendly relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Alec Baldwin). However, their lives take an unexpected turn when they reconnect during their son’s college graduation, leading to an affair despite Jake being remarried to the younger Agnes (Lake Bell). This puts Jane in an unusual position as the other woman. Meanwhile, Adam (Steve Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen, finds himself drawn to her. As Adam begins to fall for Jane, he becomes entangled in a complex love triangle.
