Wonder Woman (2009) unfolds on the enchanting island of Themyscira, where a valiant and formidable tribe of Amazons has nurtured a daughter of extraordinary beauty, elegance, and power: Princess Diana. When a U.S. Air Force pilot, Steve Trevor, makes an emergency landing on the island, the spirited and determined Diana goes against Amazonian customs by returning with Trevor to the outside world. Concurrently, Ares, the deity of War, has broken free from his Amazonian captivity and seeks vengeance with the mystical “Hand of Rage,” an ancient relic capable of resurrecting armies and fueling their bloodlust. Ares aims to initiate a global conflict that will span centuries and eradicate all life on Earth, beginning with the Amazons. It falls to Princess Diana to safeguard her people and the world by harnessing her abilities and transforming into the ultimate heroine.
